FAQs
What is the dress code for the wedding?
Formal - anything from cocktail to black tie. The groomsmen will be in black tie.
Will transportation be provided to/from the ceremony?
Yes, transportation will be provided from downtown Denver. The pickup location for the wedding shuttle will likely be at the Four Seasons, which is next to the other two hotels in which we have room blocks. We will provide additional details (timing, pickup location) to those who indicate on their RSVP that they intend to take the wedding shuttle. If you prefer, you can also use a ride-hailing app (e.g., Uber/Lyft/etc.).
What are the bride and groom welcome receptions before the ceremony?
You may have noticed that we are starting our Sunday wedding festivities with welcome receptions for the Bride and Groom, also known as a Groom's Tisch and Bride's Kabbalat Panim. This is a Jewish wedding tradition in which the bride and groom separately welcome their guests before the ceremony. Everyone is welcome in either/both rooms in which the Tisch and Kabbalat Panim are being held. In Benjamin's Tisch (roughly translated as ‘festive gathering often including singing’), Benjamin will share some words of wisdom and friends and family will make good-natured interjections, along with sharing together in singing and celebrating. In Alyssa’s Kabbalat Panim (which means 'receiving of the faces' or more simply, a reception), she will greet and give blessings to her friends and family as they wish her Mazel Tov (congratulations). The bride and groom will then unite in a ceremony called the Bedeken.
Are children welcome at the ceremony or any of the festivities?
No. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can relax and celebrate with us at this adults-only weekend. We are happy to recommend local childcare providers our friends and family with kids trust.
Do you have a hotel block for guests?
Yes! We have room blocks at 3 different hotels. Please see the homepage for more information. If you would like to stay additional days outside the block and receive the block rates, please contact the hotel directly.
Where are you registered?
We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration. While gifts are not expected, you can find details about our registry under on the Registry page.
